If you wish to go ahead, then we ask for a £50 non-returnable deposit and completed booking form. Then we will need your nominated driver to complete the insurance questionnaire 14 days before your booking and the balance will be due after the insurance has been agreed. If there is any loading added to the insurance cost at this time then this will be added to your balance.
We also ask for a £200 cautionary deposit. This will be returned in full after your rental provided the car is returned in the same condition as rented and with a full tank of fuel.

We will need the driver to complete an insurance questionnaire 14 days before your booking. We will then check all your details through with the insurance company and confirm before you pay the balance.
Pickup and dropoff
Our cars are all available for pick up from our South Devon location.

You can leave your car with us here at Cars well Farm where we have off-road car parking. Once you have finished, please drop your car back to us at Carswell Farm where your own car will be waiting for you.
Terms of Hire
There are a few rules and regulations you will need to fit into. To hire one of our cars you must be between age 25 and 75 with a valid UK/European driving licence.
We will need you to fill out a booking form and an insurance questionnaire which should give us all the necessary information we need to get you up and running!
We will supply your vehicle fully cleaned with a full tank of fuel and ask that you return it to us clean and tidy with a full tank of fuel.
We ask that you stay within the counties of Devon and Cornwall with your hire car.
Dogs, pets and other animals
We love our dogs as much as you do and love them joining us on our adventures. Our Land Rover Defender is our dog-friendly hire car. In Landy, you are welcome to bring along your pooch – within practicalities of course. Sorry other animals are not allowed.
We will supply your vehicle with a full tank of fuel on pick up and ask that you return it to us in the same condition – also with a full tank of fuel.
In the unlikely event of a breakdown or accident, recovery services are at the disposal of the Hirer. Instructions for replacements, at a cost not exceeding £50, may be given by the Hirer, and will be considered for reimbursements where appropriate by Well Sprung Car Hire on the production of receipted invoices. Well Sprung Car Hire’s approval must be obtained in respect of repairs/replacements in excess of £50. Well Sprung Car Hire is not responsible for hotel or any other consequential expenses subsequent to a breakdown, but will refund the hire charges
for any complete days’ loss of use of the vehicle. Every effort is made to ensure that the vehicle is in a safe and roadworthy condition before it leaves our company premises, but Well Sprung Car Hire shall be under no liability for third party claims or damages in connection with, or subsequent upon, any accident or breakdown. In the event of an accident involving the vehicle, the Hirer must inform Well Sprung Car Hire as soon as possible and within 24 hours. The Hirer must complete an Accident Report Form when requested by Well Sprung Car Hire.

We have a selection of organic hampers available, ranging from our Organic Devon Picnic Hamper, Organic Devon Breakfast Hamper and the popular Organic BBQ Box.
Our Organic Devon Picnic Hamper includes a selection of cheeses, chutneys and biscuits, fresh scones, Devon clotted cream, local Strawberry Jam and devon apple juice or cider.
Price: £40 for 2 people, £75 for 4 people or £15 per person for 5 or more people.
Our Organic Devon Breakfast Hamper includes wonderful organic bacon and sausages from our Well Hung Meat Company, as well as tomatoes, mushrooms, milk, fruit, muesli, yoghurt,
eggs, bread, butter, marmalade, honey and fruit juice – all organic and locally sourced where possible.
Price: £45 for 2 people, £70 for 4 people or £15 per person for 5 or more people.
The BBQ Box includes: Charcoal grab-bag (sustainable British charcoal from the Tregothnan estate), Bart Smokehouse BBQ rub, Organic beef minute steaks (375g), Organic lamb noisettes (375g), Organic pork sausages (375g), Loaf of local organic bread, Pack of Riverford Farm organic butter, Salad & tomatoes (from the local farm shop and usually organic), Pot of local coleslaw/potato salad/couscous (as available).
The box costs £35 for 2 people or £65 for 4 people. Larger boxes available on request.
